Just got home from Summit Point. A big thanks to Potomac region and all their volunteers. They are definitely an asset to the club racing community!

It was very nice to meet you in person Van. Thanks for entertaining us with your in-car videos during dinner

Thanks to the volunteers for a great weekend. The weather could not have been better. I think a few track records fell.

i was thinking on my 7 hour drive home last evening from Summit, i believe there was only 1 double yellow in my group the entire weekend! (black sprint, blue enduro) that includes 3 practices, 1 fun race, 1 qualifying, 3 sprint races and an hour enduro! that's an insane amount of track time!!! I really enjoy racing with the PCA and the people are great, big thanks to Potomac for another fantastic club race. it was a nice event to finish up the season.

A special commendation has to go out the the BodyMotion crew. They dealt with some serious setbacks but got all their racers back out on track.

Kudos to the drivers for getting back out there as well.

I was green with jealousy watching you guys flying around! Big thanks to Vito, Mark W., and John A. for the invitation to drive their cars, just couldn't chance it with my car still sitting crippled in my trailer.. though the thought of chasing Dwyane Moses was quite alluring.

After seeing how they did with the two 911's I was wishing I just towed my car down to them! They could have had it ready to run in a few hours!! Amazing, especially J. Bower's Cup car...

Performance Auto Werks handled the 911's. Great group of guys. Years ago I pancaked the side of my 911 and they did get my car pounded out and straight in about 90 minutes. Car looked good too.

BodyMotion had a Cayman and a Boxster they miraculously got back on track.

Nothing better when you are the driver and you're looking at your car thinking "Well, that's that!" but the race shop gets a hammer and goes to work

Thanks should also go to the SCCA corner workers who did a great job after the tragic death of racer Dick Hummel and his wife who were killed in a traffic accident Thursday night in Winchester. Dick was supposed to be working the event. There was a missing man lap in Dicks honor during the second green sprint race.

Hey Gary,

The shop that fixed my car is not Bodymotion. It was Performance Auto. http://www.performanceautoworkswv.com. They did a great job on my car after I was unfortunately punted on the 1st run on Friday. A racing incident on the front straight involving a service vehicle that decided to move over to the racing line in front of me . But this thread is not going to be about that and I am not going to go into it any further. Summit Point runs a top notch race with great dinners. No complaints here.

Special congrats to Doug Crossman who posted some great times on a track new to him.

And for those people who got by me after a missed a shift coming out of turn 1 (twice I did that) all I can say is that it is not fun being freight trained!

Yes, Starla sent me an email. It was an award for a GTC1 car getting passed by an F car. A true honor!
