Having RJV associated with it can't be a bad thing!

The idea of having a track 45 minutes from the house is really exciting and I hope that it happens. LRP is great but a local alternative would be icing on the cake and permit me to excercise the car more frequently. The next closest facility is NHIS which is not my favorite venue...

Another 88db course so we don't disturb the grass walkers, great.. That side of CT is like another country as far as the people go, can't see them investing in making a good road course.

I hope it happens, more tracks is never a bad thing.
This safety track in upstate NY is taking shape, even appears on the 944Cup race schedule.
And Pocono infield is being reconfigured.

Noticed on your forum this disscussion. As of today, a formal announcement went out that the road course is a "GO". Don't worry about the golf course....it is all owned by the track. They will work around it. Construction will start this spring with an opening in 2014. They will try to schedule the work around thier calendar this year. We will have more choices in New England soon.

.....one more note. If it has not been mentioned here, you can see the old track running around the outside edge of the facility on the photo that had been first posted. The new course will travel very close to the same lines.

P.S. I don't own a Porsche but it is German. I just like to share good info.

I know that the track management has been talking with a number of clubs, including the local PCA regions and BMW club, about scheduling of future track events there. It sounds like this is really going to happen, which is great news for those of us in New England!

God,That would be awesome! Think of the money influx to the community .Hotels, food etc!
Did I hear you say Club Thompson with golfing?
If it doesn't happen .I would be in favor of trying to rebuild Bridgehampton!

I've long been wondering if that's even possible, let alone in my lifetime!

The Bridge.....flatout on the longest straight ever, down hill into two fast rights with a pot hole filled aprons. A test of courage....

And yes....Golf and racecars can co-exist!!
