Yes, after mulsanne.

Ferrari driver just didn't see him coming and took the normal line.
And when he turned in, it was too late for the prototype to do anything.

Big crash for sure.

BTW, kudos to Speed for practically showing the whole 24! For once we can say something positive about their coverage.

The 997 car has stopped being competitive and unless the rules on restrictors fall away altogether the 2013 season will be a landslide defeat in the Porsche camp. That Matmut managed to get a car that far is a miracle in itself. Of course they had to give it away by putting a rookie driver in the final stint who got reeled in a 6-9 seconds A LAP by Pedro Lamy...

the RSR is, relatively speaking, ancient technology at this point. can't wait for the 991 RSR to come out...

And the Matmut car was the 2011 version. Patrick Long stated on Saturday the new RSR suffered an aero-dynamic disadvantage at Le Mans because of the high speed nature of the track. Next up for the Lizards is Lime Rock, if the new RSR performs badly there the Aero excuse is out the window. I'll be witnessing that event live and in person.

I think the 997RSR is a good platform, the only small problem is the tiny engine.

Chevy is running a 5.5L, Fiat a 4.5, The Aston a 4.7. Torque win races.

Good job by the U.S. team Starworks in LMP2, the underdog won the class.

Audi is just a great team. 4 cars entered, top drivers, top crew, top car, unbeatable.

That was disappointing. I was really hoping to see if the DW would last. I applaud the desire to innovate, even if the thing is goofy.

Ps:
Quick video at this link of the driver trying to fix the car himself to limp back to pits....
