I have not embraced the Deltawing yet. It looks silly. I bet the drivers feel silly in it. So far, meh.

Sean Edwards who posts on RL is also doing well. Last I saw he had their GTE-Am car in P2 over the night qualifying session.. and it's his first time at the track. :O

Jeroen Bleekemolen (Supercup guy and all around nice dude) is also running in LMP2 w/ Rebellion.

EDIT.... Here
Thank you! Been watching it for the last 2 hours in my office. 6 minutes to go of the night practice and lap times are falling fast. Very exciting!

The Toyotas seem quite capable nipping at the heels of the Audis (1 second covers the top 3 cars) and the DeltaWing hasn't fallen apart... E-tron on pole, first time a hybid's been on pole at Le Mans?

Ferrari, Aston, and Corvette on top of GT Pro.

Pilet takes the pole for the Lizards in GT Am.

Lizards on poll!!!

"Patrick Pilet puts the Flying Lizard No. 79 on GTE Am Pole for 24 Heures du Mans; No. 80 Seventh in GTE Pro
June 14, 2012, Midnight CET – Circuit de la Sarthe, France – Porsche factory driver and French national Patrick Pilet set the fastest time in GTE Am this week over the three qualifying sessions for the 24 Heures du Mans. The time of 3:57.594, set in the first qualifying session Wednesday afternoon, was the fastest in GTE Am and the No. 79 of Pilet, Seth Neiman (USA), and Spencer Pumpelly (USA) will start on the pole for Saturday’s race. The No. 80 Porsche of Joerg Bergmeister, Patrick Long and Marco Holzer will start seventh on the GTE Pro grid.
Pilet commented , "The team did an excellent job preparing the car for quali. When I drove the Porsche on Wednesday it was very balanced; we were able to make some small adjustments in the morning session, then in qualifying, with new tires, I was able to push for my fast lap. Everything has been well planned and we’ve had few problems. In Thursday’s sessions we were able to make sure everyone had enough seat time; we accomplished everything we needed to do over the two days."

Oddly enough I'm hoping Toyota gets on podium and maybe take the overall which would spark some new competition again in the LMP1 tier as Audi winning again may just be getting a tad boring and that's coming from myself as an Audi fan.

Can't wait until 2014!

Seth Neiman always seems to be the set back for his team in these races. Lizards having problems again at Le Mans.

EDIT: maybe spoke too soon... looking like possible fluid leak onto RR caused spin.
Always seems to happen to Seth, one way or another

On another note, Flying Lizard radio is just plain awesome.
