Good stuff in GT3 Challenge qualifying yesterday. fun to watch.
quick question: is there a difference in the Platinum US v Platinum Canadien (or gold us v gold canadien) cars? tires? tunes?
i thought last year at mosport, when they ran together, the canadiens were using michelin N1 slicks. vs yokohamas for the US-based series.
i would have thought that michelins wuld have been faster.
results yesterday definately favor the US series on yokes. maybe the driver? maybe the tire? maybe porsche gives the US guys a slightly meaner ecu tune?
great driving all around, just trying to understand the gap.
thoughts?

Even with major 4 flat spotted tires, I made the 4th fastest lap of the race and the fastest guy on the track was a canadian.
We really don't have the settings experience with the Yokohama since we ran them once on our side and it was on a completely different style of track.
Next race with americans is at Mosport in mid July. I will race the 2 canadian races and the 2 american races.
Michelin tires should be faster.

Michelin slicks CUP tires are so different than the Yokos.

The Yokohamas are just different, different setup, different characteristics as the race unfolds, but really fun to race on. Would have been fun to have a second race.
