Default It's what's wrong with NASCAR

Just saw a NASCAR TV commercial for the truck series that showed wreck after wreck and the voice over says and I parapharse, "In some sports, rough play will send you to the showers early. Same here" and the video cuts from all the crashes to a guy being showered with gateraid and cola drinks after winning the race.

So if rough play and crashes is what NASCAR is promoting, then why penalize when your drivers are doing what you are promoting? WWE or racing?

It's hard to argue with success. NASCAR brings in WAY more money then all other forms of racing combined in the US.

Yeah and drug dealing is a multi-billion dollar business too. Not sure that's the best way to measure success.

I'm not sure if that was intentionally ironic or not, given NASCARs roots.

I believe IMSA tried combining the two for a while but it didn't work out so well.
