May have an opp. to attend the Belgium F1 race and was looking for advise on where to stay. Should have own wheels to get to and from the track but would like somewhere close.

Last trip I stayed at Hotel Le Val d'Amblève in Stavelot, about 2 miles from the track. Very nice, great restaurant - not cheap though. The track site has good accomodation info HERE, with lots of local hotels, B&B and camping.

I stayed at the Radisson Blu Palace hotel in Spa last time - not a bad hotel, and rather spacious by European standards. Also stayed up at the Hotel Bosten in Eupen, which wasn't terrible, but a bit of a hike to Spa.

I will be at Spa for F1 and would like to know how bad traffic is during the weekend? For example getting back and forth from Radission Blu to track any issues? Also any knowledge about Hotel de la Source?

TIA

I like the radison blu, stayed there a few times.

also there is a new hotel right by the track very modern and has a great bar and you can't beat the location.

my guess is both are sold out by now.

I went 2 years ago and stayed about 15-20 min from the track. http://www.schlommefurth.be/en/index.html It a bed and breakfast that was excellent. The hotels near the track are typically sold out and extremely expensive. The B&B was very reasonable & nice.
