Got my high res photos from last weeks trackday at Thunderhill....I think these photo's were from T10..... I was surprised that I was getting this much compression given my stiff springs (800) and stiff valving of the custom bilsteins.... I'm bummed Harry's lap timer wasn't working at the time...it would have been great to see the actual G forces pulled in that corner.... In the past I typically pull "yellow" in this corner...which is between 1.25-1.4g... If I were to guess I'd say 1.3g in this photo....

shocks don't affect spring rate only springs do, shocks dampen occilication

Dampers don't affect spring rate but they do affect wheel rate. From the time of the initial bump to when the maximum bump is achieved for a bump event, the dampers add some amount of wheel rate.
