Default Open Air 997.2 Engine and rain

Hi folks.. figured id ask here as my chances maybe better to get a response..

I installed a ducktail and the vents on the ducktal are open to the the 997.2 engine compartment..

Im told that 911 engines are open to the elements both air and water get onto the engine. The air filter makes sure only clean air enters the intake.

But Im concerned if the car is park and the car is hit with a deluge of rain.. anyone experienced in this situation of rain on the engine and in the air intakes .. for me.. Im not so sure ? ?

thanks very much

here is a pic of the open vents

Good question. The factory vents are offset so there is not a direct route for the rain/water to enter but a little still gets in.

Thanks Doc.. this has no such "baffles" .. so a little concerned.. Im told people spray wash the engins all the time.. but still.. concerned that water will "gush" into the air intake where the filters are.. I looked at it.. there seems to be room in the filter chamber for water.. but does it drain before going in the engine air intake..?.. just not so sure
