PCA CR prov license and interview
In a flurry of questionable wisdom, the PCA has approved my license application and I'm scheduled for my interview with Susan soon.
What should I know, or perhaps more importantly, what should I NOT say?
I can imagine little things like I enjoy a six pack before driving or the fact that I keep my eyes shut in scary high speed corners should remain confidential.
Anyway, it's a serious question. I'm planning my rookie weekend at the GPR event at Hastings.

It's not a quiz. She is very friendly and does 99% of the talking.
The only thing I remember her wanting to know from me was whether or not I agreed with PCA's clean (no contact) racing philosophy. Answer: absolutely.
She also asked me why I wanted to go club racing (it's not a trick question).

I agree w/ everyone else. I had that interview before Rennsport (never raced w/ PCA before that!) and it was more of a friendly racing conversation than an interview. I think it's more of a character screen to make sure your not a complete assclown.

i'm probably only a partial assclown...

Susan is very nice. It's not a job interview. It's a pretty comprehensive explanation of the "PCA way", and you need to be comfortable with that. I think that they don't want to pick up "problem children" from other organizations. If you're on probation from somewhere, it will be an issue.

I think all Okies are on the Black List so you show hide your location.
They probably just want to make sure the applicant is not a total dick that was thrown out of every other organization she/he has raced with.
She will give you some useful info about PCA racing and philosophy.
Good luck at your first race.

Susan also likes chocolate......
She worked for years in pre school day care.
Says that most racers are not unlike her previous charges in day care.
So long as they have a full tummy, a good nap, and their blinky, they are just fine......
You'll do fine. Just listen and don't interrupt, for crying out loud!
