Agreed. Thought that at the time I posted, but didn't go back to check. The info was misleading - it talked about Sebring but didn't actually state that the in-car was from Sebring.
It IS scheduled to run in the ALMS 12 hour at Sebring this weekend.
The DeltaWing will make its first public demonstration laps at Sebring International Speedway on Thursday, March 15th, in advance of the American Le Mans Series season opening 12 Hours of Sebring on the 17th.

I don't see it on the 12-hour practice results. I hope that doesn't change.
I fail to see how the shape of this car is more relevant to road cars than any other prototype.
Wasn't this same concept explored, then abandoned in the 60's?
The only thing novel here is that now there exists a race car that is less attractive than a Volt.

Might have been a bit of an overstatement in the presser. This is what Highcraft are saying:
Public demo laps /= racing in ALMS 12 hour.
The car will make its first public demo laps at Sebring, Florida, at 12.30pm local time on Thursday, March 15.

From the video, yes it corners, but an LMP car CORNERS and I am really curious to see how they plan to keep up with so little track width in the front. Will we get lap times today?

I'm surprised to see so much criticism of what is a very cool (albeit weird and probably doomed) attempt at innovation. I love to see stuff like this shake up the establishment a little.

When this program was first unveiled there were some laughs and 'it'll never fly' opinions around here.
When you look at the caliber of the people involved, its maybe worth suspending disbelief until they have had a chance to do some serious testing and prep for LeMans. They're working outside of the normal chassis envelope which must have its challenges. I'm willing to give 'em the time do do that work, and then we'll see if its a breakthrough or a bust.

Looking at that birdseye view the car is much wider in the front than I was assuming and the difference is track front to back isn't as much as I was expecting either. Curious what the driver really thought.
