Matt, get Dave's. I'm in Florida for two weeks.
I just use a RS (radio shack, hehe) generic.

Who knows or remembers the charging times for them...the instructions are vague and of course, there are no LED indicators.
Or perhaps a better generic charger might have indicators.

Just go to an electronics place like Radio Shack and buy an adjustable voltage DC adapter that comes with a set of various plugs. Probably like $10 to $15. Done. (and btw, the amps won't be an issue here; you just need the right voltage)
And you can use it for plenty other purposes when not charging your chatterbox.
Here's one for $13.

Just a reminder about Chatterbox batteries. These are one of the last 20th or 21st century devices that do not go into trickle charge mode. You can overcharge the battery and reduce its effectiveness.
The ONLY way to properly charge the battery is to fully discharge the unit and then charge for 6 hours. If you don't, you will either overcharge (damage) or at best undercharge.
All the people who complain that their chatterbox batteries don't last long have probably cooked the batteries. Mine will actually last a full 3 day weekend, but I have four spares and don't count on that. There is no warning about overcharging in the documentation and the lack of trickle charge is just crazy.
Sounds stupid?? I thought so too.. I called the manufacturer to confirm the above info. Gave them my opinion on this too
