Installing (bolt-in) in 89 Carrera 3.2. Can anyone share if there is improved chassis rigidity? And if so, what are implications on adjusting other suspension components (sways, etc.). Thanks all.

Without any empirical data and I am not an engineer, I would guess very little, but not enough to notice or be beneficial.

It will certainly increase the stiffness of the structure. However, it may stiffen it in ways that will make little or no difference to the handling of the car. As it does not bolt on to any suspension points, or make much of a difference to the torsional rigidity of the body shell.

Having had all manner of bolt-in rollbars across pretty much all generations of aircooled 911s, from '68 (first one) to '95 (current track rat) over the past 30+ years, damned if I can really tell. Proper cage? Sure.
