A lot of rain haters here, but I have my only two class wins were in the rain at Road Atlanta, so for us backmarkers it can be the only chance at podium glory. Plus, I actually enjoy the challenge of racing in the rain.

I enjoy racing in the rain but I'm tired of racing in the rain at Road Atlanta.....

This year is all sunshine.

I've seen it snow sideways at that race.

Wife's planned our anniversary cruise this year 3 months early....Just happens to fall the week of Road Atlanta... I too took my 2nd class win in the rain and finished 3rd overall in the enduro in my 73 S, the rain is such a great equalizer, but if it rains again this year then I worry for the participation in the event next year. Too many years in a row with rain...

Yes I fear that, too.

It has rained, snowed, sleeted or otherwise been miserable at this event for the past seven years.
The date use to be one week later and it made no difference. The weather has been following the event. This year is going to be different. It will be in the low to mid sixties and sunny with nights in the upper forties to lower fifties. So says Carnack.

What they need is the 3rd week of April. That is weather nirvana here in Atlanta.

Looks like I will be there coaching a racer at the Thursday test & tune and the Friday practice day. I am available for Saturday and Sunday, if anyone needs some extra trackside help/date analysis/video analysis/radio work/etc.

I have no rain tires, no windshield wipers, no headlights.....so no racing in the rain for me.

But it won't matter, it's going to be nice and sunny this year!!

Hey I've hired you twice now and you've never detailed my rig. Does this require a coupon?
