48 HOURS SEBRING / RED SPRINT #1
Here is a summary of the Red group sprint #1 has seen from the Dicom Express team car driven by Stéphane Veilleux (almost half of the race while he was in the lead was cut to keep it shorter) !
Now, to put things in perspective, Stéphane doesn't race very often has he wrench the car for the owner who couldn't make it at the last minute. That's how he got to do 1 sprint race at the 48 hours Club race. He normally will do half of the few enduro races that the car owner does.

Great driving. Now THAT was fun to watch!! It is amazing to watch Veilleux and Sofronas pass other relatively fast cars as if they are standing still. The sound is intoxicating and the video really shows how much of of a handful these cars can be. Definitely a few power slides going on!!
Thanks for sharing the video. The front and rear views really enable you to get a better feel for what is going on around the car.
Out of curiosity, what kind of maximum speeds were being carried into T1 and T17? And, it was interesting to watch the run through Bishop Bend and the entry into T15. Sofronas looked to be more hooked up and able to carry more speed through there. Sofronas was also using the tight entry line into T15.

Nice driving!
And yes, that motor is strong in that Cup car, although we were running a high downforce setup as we were testing our car for the first WC race at St. Pete which is a street course. The WC front splitter we built creates a ton of downforce on the front end and really helps make the front stick under braking and turn-in to mid corner.....but we do lose some top end in the process.
