Default New lift observed in pits at the 24 hours of Daytona

I might be late to the party on this, but I saw several teams using these lifts in the pits at the 24 hours of Daytona this past weekend. I am hoping that some of you more seasoned track junkies can weigh in.

In addition to be useful at the track, these lifts might be the perfect solution for my somewhat small workspace.

The lift is manufactured by Arnold Machine Inc. and uses compressed air to lift the car to a maximum height of about 24".

They can be seen here .

There is a single distributor listed, but that web site has very little information. I did email for more information, but haven't heard back yet.

Does anyone know what these sell for and are there similar products that I might also be unaware of?

Thanks,

Michael

Looks like it would be hard to change tires with them, since they lift at the rubber...

Easy.... They are just a fancy jack.

See the stand ready for use?

Lift on wheels drop on the stands.

For anyone that might be interested, I finally received a response from the distributor and they list out at $4800 for a set (depending on capacity and features).

Does this product have any competition?

Yep...I was going to say.

For that kind of money for a simple jack, I can pay my farm hand (who would love to do it) for 40 track days; not only to jack the car up, but also do whatever work the car is up for.

And make sandwiches!!!

Yew take a little 'lomey and a little of some of that yellow cheese what comes in the plastic wrappers and some of that soft white bread. Smush it together and wrap it in foil. Shove that packet somewhere down in the intake manifold area and run a session hard.

Pit, park, open up and enjoy with the warm gatorade yew left next to the air hose.

Yes, I have a couple of those. My workspace is only 11.5 feet wide and much too small to use floorjacks to lift the side of a car. Also, I would challenge you to get a car 24 inches off the ground with a pair of floorjacks and jackstands, safely and efficiently, in any size work space.

I also have scissors lift. Scissors lift is great for doing brake and tire work. They are not so good when you need access to the undercarriage.

These jacks are the best alternative I've seen ... if only they weren't so expensive.
