Race Car
right,
I was flagging a miami bike (street) race in the 80's and saw a guy go off, do about 3 somersaults in the air hit the ground and then the wall... total yardsale.
so I ran over to see if he was even alive, and first thing out of his mouth was where's my bike... next thing I know he's up on his bike and gone...
I talked to him after the race, and found he had a broken ankle... but didn't want to see a doctor, since the doctor could ground him, and he wanted to race on sunday. he just cut his boot up the side and duct-taped it. -came in 2nd sunday. jamie james. (he had #1 on his bike that year.)
crazy mudderfuddrs!

Three Wheelin'
I'm sure many of us have heard of the Isle of Man motorcycle race (actually a time trial). I am not a motorcycle guy, but I've heard of the Isle of Man event. It supposedly attracts international attention and top riders. I understand that it's super high speed (i.e. race bikes do 175+ mph top speed, and average 120+ mph) on public roads that aren't necessarily in good shape. And that riders get killed at this event every year .... 4 in 2010 and 6 in 2011.
