Default FEELER: interest in a high level race craft/driving skills clinic?

Glen has done several of these with Patrick Long here in Texas. This is the ad for the one in fall 2010:

https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-a...t-15-16-a.html

In consultation with Glen, I would like to put one together within the next 3 months, only this time bringing in Tommy Archer. For those of you not familiar with him, a brief background is below.

Tommy is one of the finest drivers and coaches I know personally. He & I have worked together with clients on more than one occasion, and he knows driving, data, and car set up like nobody's business. He is probably best known for his great success in championship-winning Vipers: Multiple wins, poles, and NINE series championship in World Challenge GT (8 of them in a row), FIA-GT, and Trans Am, as well as multiple podiums at LeMans and the Rolex 24 in Vipers. He has won overall in 24 hour pro races at Mosport and Nelson Ledges.

However, Tommy has also raced and won in 996 and 997 GT3 Cups, BMW's, NASCAR trucks, Mustangs, Talons, Corvettes, Camaros, Cavaliers, Saabs, Spitfires, and Renaults. Yes, he knows how to get ANY car around a track, FAST. He knows how to set up a car. he knows how to be on pace at a new track in 3-4 laps. And he knows how to race and WIN.

So: what level of interest would there be in something like this? We would likely do it again at MSR Cresson (near Ft. Worth, Texas), although if there is enough interest, TWS is a possibility. I envision 2 days, just like the Pat Long events, with lunch and refreshments included each day....and maybe a dinner one night. Not sure of costs yet, but they will not exceed that of the previous events, and will most likely be lower.

Like Pat, Tommy does not ride right seat, so there will be a number of us available to ride with participants and help implement Tommy's suggestions.

Thanks, please feel free to email me with comments if you'd prefer: dave@racecoach.net .

I would have interest as long as there was no timing conflict with local (relateively) PCA races. I'm a member at MSR, so that's obviously my personal prefernce, but I would certainly consider TWS as well.

On top of his driving and coaching skills, Tommy Archer is a great guy. Provided my schedule permits, I'm in.

Thanks, my goal is to avoid PCA club racing and other racing conflicts.

As Mike says, Tommy is one of the nicest people you will ever meet on or off the track.

Not sure. I just received an email from another racer up east, asking the same thing. I would like to! Part of the issue is track rental costs. If anyone here is a member of NJMP, perhaps you could PM me or email me with what they charged for a weekday rental?
