Guys:
I heard that there is perhaps a different division at LRP that handles the track events...not all under the Skippy banner. Skippy has the school and some other entitly owns the track? (VR- you have your finger on the ppulse of this type of stuff, maybe you can chime in?) Apparently, an executive decision was made that they want to attract mfg's to rent the track (Mercedes, BMW, etc., as in the corporate entity, not necessarily the car clubs, like PCA- one must surmise that the fees will be even greater????).
In essense, the dates previously assigned to the clubs have been thrown into a tailspin. The corporate entitles are being given first choice then, depending on what is left, the rest of the available dates will be allocated to the various clubs for them to pick and choose.
In a nutshell, it seems that there might be less days available....guess we will all have to see.
In a recent club meeting, our first two days at LRP were taken away, Mercedes has the track for about a week during the time that we were supposed to be there.
Someone with access to CVR PCA (board members) might have much more info, as LRP is their home track.
Hey, here is to hoping that LRP get some more competition with the Central NY (Syracuse) proposed track and we get another, relatively close venue.

Yes, another entity owns the track. Skip!
Seriously, it's his personal domain, and while there are other partners, it is the man himself who picks and chooses who has priority.
There's been a great deal of tumalt in the SBRS world, with all corporate functions and headquarters being moved from Lakeville to a building on site at Road Atlanta. Skip's relationship with the private equity group that bought his school over a decade ago has cooled considerably, hence the major cutback in staff and dates at LRP.
I'd not heard of any pullback from the LR Club. That is strongly supported by Skip and the track management and will be for a long time...
The other thing is that many tracks are shuffling outside club and group rental dates further down the order by delaying all schedule releases until their first choices respond. It's a competitive market.
For the dates, not the tracks...

There is nothing different that our region has heard. We just received our dates and will have them published soon. I know that most other regions that were already on the schedule, it's just being finalized. Nothing to read into that I know of.

SBRS is the bulk user of dates. When they get the proposed schedule from Skip's team there are some dates already blacked out for prior agreements (SCCA, ALMS, Grand AM, big car companies, etc). Then when SBRS locks in their schedule the balance of available dates are sent to the clubs.
I imagine with the current state of things at SBRS they may have needed some extra time to commit to dates and that may have delayed the roll out ot the clubs.

I can't speak for everyone, but NCR has our dates and I know there are dates in for Metro, CVR, and one more region (can't remember if it's HCR or HVR).

I think Lime Rock must be slow on firming up their schedule.
CVR, Metro, NNJR and Hudson Valley have not published their schedules. Also Lime Rock has not published their club schedule. Only published events I've seen are from Hudson Champlain and the PCA club race.
