Default 997 Cup rotors?

Does anyone have a tech drawing of the rotors for a 997 Cup? Do they run 380mm x 36mm? Are they running these on 18" or 19" wheels?

Can anybody at least confirm the dimensions for the 997 Cup rotors, and what wheel sizes they run?

Thanks

18" wheels (100% sure on that). Believe they are 15" rotors (99% sure). My 996 gt3r runs 15" (380mm) with 18" wheels as well.

Thanks a bunch Clay. That gives me some hope then. Don't suppose you've got a pic or two showing them. Specifically how much space you've got between caliper and inside of rim. I'm not sure of the difference (if any?) between 996 and 997 calipers? Also, do you know what thickness your rotors are?

This is the closest pic I have where you can see the caliper. My car uses big gold Brembo race calipers which are different from cups and specific to the R/RS/RSR cars. The cups use 6 pot calipers which are the same as street gt3 (with a little bit different internals). The problem isn't clearance to the wheel due to diameter but it's spoke clearance since the calipers are wide. You need deep dish style centers.

My rotors are 1.25" thick. Some cars with the endurance brake package had 1.5" thick rotors.

380mm x 32mm front, 350mm x 28mm rear
997 calipers are larger bodies than the 996 versions. both use 6 pot front, 4 pot rear.
18" wheels on both cars.

Thanks Neil. Guess I need to find out the physical dimensions of the actual caliper now.

Any leads anyone?

Do you still need sizes on the 997 cup calipers? I have a set I can measure up for you.

Not any more, but thanks again for the offer. Looks like it's almost all sorted. We decided to run the 997 Cup calipers on a 350mm rotor...for a few reasons;

1) We know the 350mm rotor will fit inside the Fikse 18" wheel.
2) Can always try to work a 380mm in there at a later date.
3) More space between rotor/caliper/wheel is a good thing for avoiding heat soak.
4) Bit less unsprung weight.
5) Bit less cost on replacement parts.
6) Car will be pretty light. Sub 1200kgs.
7) Not running Endurance events.

So basically all should be well.

Thanks Bill. As ever, you're a wealth of information.

OK - no worries.

I found some templates on Stoptech.com for their big brake kits, that also have the standard rotor sizes on - these should be easy to re-engineer for the cup caliper on the rotors you want just by cutting it differently and cutting a different template fo the caliper.

I have attatched one of the docs for the GT3 as an example.
