Default FS: Boxster S Race Car

2000 Porsche Boxster S Racecar

The car was campaigned in the Grand-Am Cup Series by Speed Source, driver and owner Sylvain Tremblay, from 2000-2003. It won the Series championship in 2003. The car has a new dash, steering wheel, tires and many running gear and suspension parts. It is completely rebuilt, dyno-tuned, corner-balanced and ready to go racing.

Engine:

• 2002 3.2 Liter Boxster S motor tuned by Behe Performance in MD (dyno sheet available)
• NPH Maxspeed stainless header and exhaust
• NEW L&N Engineering IMS shaft
• NEW Mantis Racing extended sump adaptor (holds 1.5 qt compared to .5 qt with
new L&N Engineering Spin-on filter adaptor (in order to use quality oil filter)
• NEW L&N Engineering Magnetic drain plug
• NEW Tarrett underdrive pulley

Drivetrain:

• 6-speed with fresh, crisp synchros, clean gears
• Sachs steel single mass LWF
• Sachs organic racing clutch disc
• NEW Tarrett motor mounts
• NEW Tarrett transmission mounts
• NEW gearshift riser kit

Suspension:

• Ohlin 2-way adjustable race dampers (rebuilt) coilovers
• Springs 450# Front, 500# Rear
• NEW GT-3 lower front control arms
• NEW Racers Edge bearings and bushings
• NEW GT-3 Front sway bar with Tarrett drop links
• NEW Tarrett rear adjustable sway bar with Tarrett drop links
• NEW Mantis Racing rear shock brace
• GT-3 rear trailing links
• Fresh alignment and corner balance

Wheels:

• OZ Allegretta lightweight 1-piece wheels – Front 18x8.5, Rear 18x10
• Fresh Hoosier R-6, 4 heat cycles, 245/35-ZR18, 275/35-ZR18
• HD Kline Pro wheel studs

Brakes:

• Boxster S red caliper brakes with Hawk HT10 pads and ATE Super Blue brake fluid (NEW front calipers)

Exterior:

• Aluminum hard top
• 996 front bumper facia
• 5-gallon fuel jug w/dry-break filler ($750 cost)
• Hood pins
• Rear spoiler locater kit (always up)
• Rennline tow hooks

Interior:

• Full Grand-Am spec roll cage
• Sparco driver’s seat
• Red Scroth HANS 6-point harness
• MOMO steering wheel
• NEW Porsche Motorsport-style quick-release steering wheel hub ($500 unit)
• Wink mirror
• HMS driver safety net
• NEW Scroth center safety net
• NEW Rennline 3-pedal set, with gas pedal extenders

That sounds like a great car, Ron. Is this an F-stock car?

It was run in F Stock before I bought it.

Super nice car. i recall that car when Speedsource maintained it. always kept right.

$35k?? F class for 35k? great price but i might suggest a bit too cheap, then again, she'll move quick at that figure. i know someone who's been looking for a spec class boxster. ill have him PM you.

I have seen it on the track what a sweet car and knowing how Ron is with his cars its set up perfectly
