Default Replay XD1080 at VIR

Thanks to Mark at OG for letting me borrow a Replay XD1080 camera. It seems to be a good alternative to a GoPro. I combined the data from my AIM SOLO with RaceRender to get the following:

I believe there is a setting to adjust the brightness, I didn't mess with it and consequently some of the shots are a little washed out.

I've asked Santa for one of my own.

Also, any comments on my driving are appreciated!

But, as Mark to be sure.

Yes. Will was using the RAM roll bar mount. The Replay XD 1080 fits perfectly into the bullet cam attachment RAM makes. Here's a photo of what Will was using:

Any update on the hardwire kit? This is looking more and more like the best camera solution for me.

I just emailed Replay an was told they have no pricing or ETA on the Hardwire Kit. This is VERY FRUSTRATING! When I bought this unit back in June, I was told the Hardwire Kit would be out at the end of July. Here we are in the middle of December and nothing.

As it sits now, the camera is a pain in the *** to use. The battery does not last long enough and I have to turn on the camera and start recording before I get in the car. Not optimal at all.

The video is great.....but I am not happy as of now.

Yeah, it's a non-starter without hardwire power AND the ability to turn it on and off while harnessed in.

I am working to get a firm release date on the hardwire kit. It's a really good product that will be great, once the hardwire kit and ability to turn on and off while strapped in is available. I'll post here and in the other thread once I get an answer.

Hey Chris. Yes I do get around in my travels

Did you hear anything yet? I am tired of waiting and I am about to sell mine and buy something else.

Why don't you do that, Scott.

Perhaps the best alternative is the GoPro HD Hero or Hero2 with Tony Oldham's 8' remote on-off switch. Mentioned in another thread.

There's currently a firmware glitch on the Hero2 that doesn't allow the wired remote to turn it off, but the HD Hero and the wired remote would be a great answer for what your looking for.
