And doesn't NASCAR love that type of crap anyway??? I mean the old fight at Daytona back in '79 was it was the best thing that ever happened to them publicity wise...

there is a difference between a fist fight (which Busch should have been the victim of) and cursing out journalists and flipping the bird to fans and sponsors on live TV.

Had they had fist fights instead of doing what they did, they probably would have gotten bonuses and would still be driving !

Smoke was an *** years ago, obviously someone took him aside and explained how things needed to be and he has been quite the gentleman ever since.

Being an owner of a team has got to do something with it. He's responsible for a lot of people now, not just himself.

Yup. He gets his PR done by a friend of mine, and she knows how to coax her clients into better than average behavior.

This. I think sponsor's are OK with being passionate about what you're doing on the track and getting momentarily caught up in the moment, even retaliation for something that deserves retaliation seems to not be an issue.

It's getting out of the car and taking it out on the reporters, crew and fans that is the big NO NO, one which neither broher has really figured out yet...well maybe Kurt is starting to realize it now.

Not to disagree with Peter but with 2 past Nascar championships, 1 Indy car Championship and a USAC Championship in his "past", it might be a hard line to draw to say that Tony's old ways were working against him back then.

The brothers Busch should start their own team and get Preparation H as the main sponsor...

I thought about that as I posted that...

Still, he has huge additional responsibilities now. Not having to divert energy to rearguard damage control from his old tantrum ways probably helped contribute to him an his team in their remarkable Chase performance.

Don't think Kurt's gonna get a chance to do that...
