Featherlite 3110 Trailer Part - Free
Found a part from my old Featherlite 3110. Its the fender "clasp" not sure if thats the term or not. See picture. I had a tire blow out on the freeway and blew the fender right off along with a couple of clasps. Not sure why I have an extra but its free to anyone who might need it. Brand new and still in the bag it came in along with all the parts you need to secure it to the trailer. Just send me an email. dadeguire@gmail.com

Just wanted to let you know the exact same thing happened to me last night. A Carlisle tire completely shredded. The flying fender on a 65 mph freeway could have killed someone. Luckily, nobody hit it. Featherlite needs to address this problem.
This was my second Carlisle tire to shred. I will never buy another Carlisle.

Not fun seeing that fender flying in the air down the freeway. Mine landed without hitting anyone but was then run over by a car and it was destroyed. Car had a damaged front bumper but strangely the driver just kept on going.

Those fender latches will never keep the fender on in the event of a bad blowout. This is a problem, which even the folks at FL seem to acknowledge. They insist the fenders need to be locked on. I put two padlocks on the underside of the fender to keep it on - and of course this is also theft prevention. It is a PITA when removing driver side fender for loading and unloading, but well worth it.
