Default Race Ramps Storage

Guys,

I have ordered a set of Race Ramps (RR-TR-7) so I can load my race car in my enclosed trailer without having to remove the front bumper.

Now I have to figure out how to store the ramps in the trailer. Anyone have any ideas? I can keep the ramps in the back of my tow vehicle but in the trailer would be ideal.

Thanks,

Scott

Since you have an enclosed trailer you may be able to attach the ramps to the door and secure them with some bungee cords. Are you sure the RR-TR-7 ramps will work with your car? The RR-TR-7 has a 5.2˚ incline and your car looks like it may require a more shallow ramp. The RR-TR-5 ramp has a 4˚ incline, but, then it may make your breakover angle too high. Our RLL-89-IS incline sections have a 4˚ initial incline but at 6.7" high they are close to the height of the RR-TR-7 ramps.

Strapped to the rear side wall via e-track, or on the floor across the back again via e-track or strapped to the tie-down D-rings.....

I slide the pointy ends beneath the car at the rear of the trailer and tie them down across the fat end with a 1" strap from the same D rings the wheel straps go to.

I've used these for 2-3 years in an enclosed trailer and slide them under the car, pointy end under the car. I've never strapped them down over the years and they have never moved, even the 14 hours up to VIR. They're always right where I left them...

Yep, I've been lazy on more than one Sunday afternoon. There's no room for them to go anywhere, and if there was...one would have far greater problems.

Default Two-piece Race Ramps trailer ramps

The RR-TR-5, RR-TR-7 and RR-TR-8XL models are available in a two piece version. It's a $30 upcharge for the two piece models which may be easier to transport in the tow vehicle if there is no place to put the ramps in or on the trailer.

I just lay them in the back of the trailer between the back door and wheel well. They are so light they dont really move around.

I slide mine under the car, but now I strap them down, had one slide too far forward and when I hit a bump the car rode down and dented the top of the ramp. Not a big deal for a shockmount but would dent a header.

Here's how I stow mine. I put the straps over hooks that I bought from Lowes ($1) and use a bungee at the bottom to keep them from swinging. They are completely out of the way.
