I have track driven powder-coated MY02 wheels for years with no issues.

The rims do get a little scuffed by the lug nuts but otherwise holding u p well and just as easy to clean as painted or anodized ones.

Larry what kind of wheel did you bust? Never broke a factory aluminum TUV wheel, bent a few. The motorsports/BBS wheels seem to be more fragile and I wouldn't paint a mag for just that reason. It's a valid point that paint of any kind can hide a crack, but you can always do what the factory does and don't paint the back of the spokes...
