And give 'em hell I did..............!

Weather was nice, 2:06:4!!!! on street tires and no aero. Not bad for a 42 year old tub with a 2 liter!!!

I must post video of the Bob Snodgrass enduro. A cup blew a tire in front of us (Jack was co-driving) windshield blew off and had to finish race without it.

Too many tire failures this weekend. I counted 3 on Cups and at least 2 on Caymans.

Nice job, Juan!

Dr. Jim had a Yoko blow out on his GTC5 car near top speed, the tire damaged his fender quite a bit but not as badly as when I had a Michelin de-laminate at the Glen.

Juan G blew a Yoko coming into the bus stop. And the Cayman's blew Hoosiers.

I just got back from their myself, was running with the Ferrari Challenge cars.

What kind of Hoosiers blew - R6, R80/R100 slick, or the special R100 OVAL slick?

Hoosier sponsors our series so we had the Hoosier guy working very closely with us. We all ran the special Oval tire, significantly reduced our camber, pumped up tire pressures (especially on the right) and took the downforce off the rear of the car. He was in our pits taking temps and watching things closely - 22 cars and no issues anywhere.

I am wondering if the Caymans followed the same procedures?

Jaker, the Hoosier rep suggested that at the driver's meeting. Not sure what they were doing, my friend driving a Cayman had no problems.

Which one of the F Cars were you?

I'm posting a video of the blow out on You Tube now. Spencer Pumpelly posted the view from Dr. Jim's car. My video shows it from the following car....

Juan

I was in pit lane near pit out and saw the whole thing. That could have been so much worse. You had quite a ride. How was driving the "open car"? Pretty breezy? Glad to see everyone was OK. Dr. Jim stopped in our pits on the way to his and said "that will make a hell of a YouTube video". I'm going to watch yours next.
