Who here has succesfully removed a PDK steering wheel for quick release replacement?
Has anyone with a 997.2 or 987.2 removed the PDK steering wheel and replaced it with a quick-release style hub WITHOUT PDK trans faults? I have already spoken to the Speed Merchants techs and to Joey G but has anyone else?

The one done at Protosport was Joey G's car....Not really a removal...
DeMan Motorsport has completely removed the wheel, installed the NRG short hub adapter, Porsche Motorsport style quick release, Sparco 350mm race wheel. The electronics from the factory wheel removed, factory indicator lights from the wheel removed and relocated to the center console, then the Paddles re-mounted on the Sparco wheel with a coil cord and 8 pin AMP connector making it completely removable.
Perfect functionality, never a problem, launch control and all functions are in tact, indicator lamps light up properly and it looks like a proper race car with factory apearance and functionality.
It can be done and makes it feel like a true race car.
