Adding GPS "beacon" to Motec ADL
I need the "how to" on adding GPS to replace the beacon. Here's the sticking point, I use an ADL (not ADL2 or ADL3).
Help is appreciated!

Juan, best person to call is Dave or Ellen Ferguson at Veracity Data in California. There is a solution, IIRC.

There definitely is a solution as I too run the ADL with GPS antenna. If you haven't yet you can email the engineers in Australia. They have been very responsive then I have mailed with a question.
They have even walked me through similar setups with data logging questions.
Here is a link to their forum. Find the topic title that best fits your needs and post a question. If no response email an engineer directly.

Jaun,
After posting above, I looked quickly and found this thread discussing GPS and ADL set up. The thread might answer your questions or look in the thread for the Motec employee, his name is RossB, who is responding and contact him directly he is a Motec engineer.
Hope it helps

I just finished installing an ADL in my Boxster and was told to stick with the beacon instead of the GPS antenna on the original ADL model. Supposedly the beacon is more accurate although a PITA to set-up and remember sometimes. Most of my tech support came from Chris Brown at Motec in SoCal.

In the dash manager software there is not place to add the coordinates in the venue file/tab? I know that's where it's added for the SDL or ADL3. I can also check tonight once I'm at my home computer with the software loaded. (I'm assuming you have the GPS added to your ADL on the CAN bus already and simply are looking for the place in the software, yes?)

THANKS!
I have been reading the forums over at Motec and there is an unfinished discussion on how to do it. I had seen the CDS unit but was hoping for a less expensive alternative.
FYI, this is going on my carbed, twin plugged/distributor 69S so no ECU on the car.
