Default Trailer tires

Had a brain fart while towing my 28' gooseneck, hit a curb. Wifey crackeled over the radio "what the heck are you doing, you almost hit that pole" Followed by "WTF was that big wooshing sound?" She drives behind me on street tires. Half mile from the house and I made a right hand turn forgetting the trailer was behind me, ripped the side wall open making the big wooshing sound.
Anyway, had a Load Star 225/75 R15 spare so I limped home where the jack was and changed it. Any other reccommended tire brands? Trailer has several Load Star tires on it now and no complaints, but may want to get something local if possible. I have my own changer, do not plan on doing balancing beyond bubble balance.

I heard good reports and no bad ones on Maxxis tires, so I put a set on my trailer last month. I've only towed to one event since then, so I can't give real "tire-life" feedback.

I use Maxxis E load range. The Ds always seem to have issues regardless of the loading.

Put 4 years and lots of miles on OEM Maxxis D loads on my 28ft Pace without any issues. They looked almost new but I switched them out for their E loads earlier this year. I'm actually getting about 2 MPG more with the higher pressure specified in the E loads (60 vs 80)....

My Maxxis are D loads, they didn't have Es available without ordering them and I was heading to an event that day (a blow-out prompted the last minute purchase). My shop assure me I'd be fine, as my trailer & car only total up to 5000-lbs. It's a good shop, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

I have Goodyear Marathon 225/75/15 on a 2400 pound trailer. Knock on wood no problems so far. I do not know what "load" these are rated for.

Maxxis. It's a very good reliable trailer tire.
