Just watched the race... Immediately the accident looked bad. Not the way he fell but the other two crashing into him and his helmet being thrown off...
Very sad, and seems almost surreal since we've had two fatalities si close together.

I got meet Marco at Indy in '08 , He was a great guy , very personable . I knew great things would come his way as he won the championship that year . I send my condolences to his family and friends , just can't imagine what they are feeling. A great loss to all motor sports fans RIP to a great man .

I was actually in the Indy museum when he came in , and I had a short conversation with him there ,funny the thing I remember most is how firm his handshake was . My buddy walked away and I missed the photo-op .

Tragic, very sad. Although of little consolation to those he leaves behind, at least he was doing what he loved and it seems unlikely that he would have ever known what hit him.
