Guys, this is totally happening. Weehawken already renamed their park after Lewis Hamilton. THEY ARE ON BOARD!

That could be a nice spot to watch it from.

FWIW, last year my wife's business hosted a big convention and held it at the Hilton in Jersey City, right nearby. It was a big success, we ran buses into Manhattan and had the best of both worlds; great views, right on the Hudson, and the whole entertainment package; Shows, restaurants, tours...People from all over the country had a great time, they're still talking about it.
It could be a really good idea, let's just hope the track doesn't suck, but if they ran it up the Palisades cliffs it could have some serious elevation.
We can tailgate in my driveway.

There are two massive potholes on River Road in Weehawken that I pass by each day on my way to the Port Imperial ferry. It's become second nature to avoid these potential tire-flattening potholes, as they've been in place for at least the past year.

While I'd be thrilled to have an F1 race here, I don't have much hope that a municipality that can't fix two potholes will be able to prepare a full street course.

That's Weehawken, and they're obviously staying on the low ground. Flat as a pancake.

Where is West New York and why is their Mayor confirming New Jersey F1 event? Wait, don't answer that....

OMG, they're saying it will be like Spa but with the feel of Monaco. They're only kidding themselves.
Nevertheless, the talk in the area is that there will be an announcement today from a meeting at the Ferry Terminal (which my friend owns) with Governor Christie in attendance.

Yeah, read that...

"It will provide a very challenging course," West New York attorney Joe DeMarco said. "They compare it to Spa in Belgium but it will have the feel of Monaco."

Clearly "they" and Mr. DeMarco are people who know F1... I know DeMarco is a lawyer so bull**** is to be expected but still, that's pretty deep...
