I'm pretty sure there are two types of accommodations. One are the rooms above the garages at Thunderbolt. The other are condo suites that are located on the grounds but are between the two tracks. Haven't stayed at either. I think the former is more of a hotel room, the latter more of an apartment. Not sure what's listed on line.

Not sure this helps, but others will chime in.

The online reservation is for the VIP suites. Not the Villas(condos)

I've stayed just about everywhere down there and you can't beat the convenience of staying at the track.

I stayed at the Marriott's Fairfield inn last weekend. Brand new, ten minutes from the track and free breakfast all for $80. You have to travel to that area anyway for gas/food.

Stayed at the track suites last weekend. Convenience factor is huge. Moderately comfortable beds, microwave, college dorm room sized frig. and clean. A bit pricey as 2 nights cost me $380. My GF accompanied me and equated it to camping, but she is spoiled by stays at 5 star hotels.
