Thank you all for the kind words.

This car is built to the Porsche Racing Club (PRC) GT-Limited (GT-L) rules. Basically, those rules allow whatever you would be able to do for a PRC (or PCA) GT-2R car with specific limitations:

-----------
The car must weigh 2350 lbs with driver after qualifying or the race.

These bias-ply slicks must be used: Goodyear 1653 (23.5 x 11.5 x 16, R430 compound) or 1651 (23.5 x 10.5 x 16, R430 compound) on the front and Goodyear 1570 (25 x 13 x 16, R430 compound) on the rear.

The engine may be 3.6 liters or less (air-cooled and two valves per cylinder) and must use a 1984 to 1995 911 intake manifold which must be stock from the exit of the throttle body to the intake of the cylinder head. Throttle bodies must remain stock. The maximum primary header tube size of 1.625” O.D. Mufflers are free as long as the engine noise meets the restrictions of the various tracks.
-----------

The idea is to have a GT-2 type class but to keep engine costs way down. With the intake and exhaust restrictions, engines aren't going to be spun much faster than 6800 rpm. This means they will last longer and should cost a little less to build.

Scott,
I'm just glad to see that your located in CA and we "East-coasters" can rest easy after a long Petite Le Mans day of watching and planning for PCA Daytona.

Congratulation on a beautiful built and what sounds like a great race car.

Beautiful looking car Scott. Congratulations on getting it completed. Guess you won't be needing spacers with those rims

That's cool! Congrats. Is the exhaust going to melt your bumper? What year chasis? 3.6?

Thanks!!

FRP can take a lot of heat!! I am going to trim the bumper differently and mount the exhaust hangers differently. It will work fine for now. It has been already with no heat damage.

The chassis is an '87 930. The engine is built on a '92 3.6.

Thank you! No, the car won't be needing any spacers. There is a lot of rubber under those fender wells....

PRC GT-S?
Thanks!

PRC GT-L.

Yes, it is a Mat Lowrance car. I have not driven it yet. Thunderhill next Friday will be my first time driving it. Mat ran the engine in and did some tuning at Reno-Fernley Raceway on Friday. He will finish that up in the first few sessions at Thunderhill. Then, she is all mine!
