I believe the transmission is Daimler - the gearing and ability to handle the torque load of a v6 turbo diesel over a standard gas engine would be entirely different.

Purchased a 2007 Steel Blue JGC CRD with 63k miles. First fuel up got 23.5 mpg with lots of city driving so not bad. Will not tow anytime soon but will get some info on mpg when I get to do some towing (likely with an open trailer).

One of the good things that came out of the partnership

Find me a nice white one with 30k miles in the low 20's
