Default Go Pro mounting help

I have a new HD hero and am using full HD, 1080p. The 1080p allows a narrower field of view than lower resolution. Placing the Go Pro on the inside of my 997.1 window (my preferred place), the suction cup is being filmed in the bottom of the pic. I have tried to make numerous adjustments to the brackets with no luck. I could mount the camera upside down on the window along with turning my pc monitor upside and this will work; but a pain.

Is there a recommended solution other than mounding the Go Pro on the outside of the car?

You can mount the camera upside down and set it to record in UPD mode. This inverts the image on the card so it is right-side-up on the computer.

Before you go too far down this road you should know that the GoPro at 1080p shoots 30fps max, and suffers from cmos rolling shutter artifacts aka jelly waves. You may be lucky with your mount, but most wind up using 720p at 60fps to avoid this problem.

720p at 60fps only way to go...mount the go pro upside down.....or mount on rear window so you can see you driving the car to pick up any mistakes.

FWIW, it's in the manual.

In my opinion, mounting an in-car camera so that at least one of your hands is visible in the picture provides a lot more value when you are trying to use the video to help analyze/improve your driving.
