Speaking of slitheries; Kai made an elegant exit track right in 2/3 in front of the Pumpkin!!!

Chit happens when one is gunning for the DE Trophy...or Norwood's track record!

Niels did indeed grab the Estock lap record. I had it from last year at 1:26.191. Niels bettereed it to 1:26.056, but I got it back with a 1:25.950.

Niels got it back in race 3 with a 1:25.820

It was the toughest race weekend I have ever had. Battling from start to finish, no time to rest or relax. Lapping cars became critical, not to make any mistakes. We almost bought it in race 2 when passing Sally Knapp.

It was exactly the way racing is supposed to be, competetive, clean, courteous and respectful of other drivers, racing room etc. I had a blast.

Niels, if you read this, thanks a bunch, it was great racing with you. You deserved the win, and congrats on the record.

Richard I watched part of each of those races, and also some of your practice sessions. It was obvious from watching practice that you would be one of the cars to beat. Great racing on both of yours and Niels' parts. Congrats to both of you. Sorry I never got to meet you.

That was the only video that I recorded of the weekend. I only did 2 of the 3 sprints. The one above was the 2nd sprint and it was the last one I needed to finally get that rookie X off of my car. I decided not to push my luck and didn't run the last sprint. It was a blast though. My first time at Hallet. A few of those turns are a lot more complicated than they look.

Here is a video of Yellow Sprint #1. I left the door open for David Hodges in corner 2! I'll try not to do that again.

Bryan- that was fun, my camera and my 3rd gear took a break during most of that race. I can't wait to race again at ECR in a few weeks. Gladwill should have the new tranny installed late next week.

and nice editing and story line, I hear Hollywood calling you.

Richard, I had an absolute blast as well! I am looking forward to the next race, whenever that is!

Cheers

Does Chucks seat really move around that much ? Or is it just the camera mount ?

Viking,
Camera is not moving, it is all the seat. It is a one year old Sparco in good shape and bolted in well.... He is a big guy (245#'ish). You think I should put a seat back brace in the car? I have watched some cup car videos (Leh Keen at sebring) that the seat looks like it moves about the same as his...

I'm thinking Leh might be pulling more G's in the 6Cup, no offense Chuck.

I would just check the seat and the harnesses well and make sure Chuck is harnessed tightly in place. Some movement is going to happen, it just seemed like a lot in that video, but it could have just been camera angle. Obviously the less he moves around the better for both driving and in case of an accident.

At 245 he is going to move some, but I had a 275lb driver in our Boxster, running 1.52's at TWS and I just watched a video of him and he didn't move around that much, so I would guess there is something you can do to tighten him up a bit.
