Kumho 710 rounded vs. square shoulder?
Hi all. Has anyone run on both types of Kumho 710 and can tell any difference?
I'm going from
245/35R18
285/30R18
to
245/40R18
305/30R18
I thought I'd get some extra rubber on the ground in the rear,
but to my first look, there doesn't actually seem much width diff.
So the only other diff is the new ones are square-shouldered (and
a little taller of course...)

Joe, I don't have experience with the exact sizes you listed, but I do have extensive comparison experience with both the square and round Kumho tires in 245/45/17 (round) and 245/40/17 (square) fronts.
I ran the 245/45 "round" in front for two years. After going to coil-overs in the front in January, Steve Alarcon of Suspension Specialties convinced me to start using the much shorter "square" 245/40's, as he could put my car 2cm lower in the front. My first impression was a push. I tried to dial that out with less front and more rear bar, and I did get rid of the push, but the car has never turned-in as well as it did on the rounds. I ran the square all year until they were back-ordered and I had to go back to the rounds. The feel of a crisp turn-in is back. I'm sticking with the rounds.
I am at least .5 to 1 second faster per lap wih the round tires, but FAR prefer the feel of the round edge.

I'm going taller and square, and you went shorter and square.
I'll see what I get and update this thread as I come to some
