I'm about to order some new PFC pads for my 944 track car. It has 993tt Big Reds on the front. PFC makes 06 and 01 compounds, and offers them in 20 and 22 mm thickness for the 06 pads and 18 and 25mm thickness for the 01 pads. I will be using 97 pads for the rear (no other option). I know some of you guys have gone to the 06 pads, I'm just not sure the thicker pads (25mm) would even fit in the caliper

On my 964 with big reds, I used 97 rears, 01 fronts and was very happy with it overall. As far as thickness, I don't know what to tell you, I never checked. Good luck.

01's bite more, a little more agressive on the rotors but they should be fine. As a matter a fact with the new found hp you'll need more aggressive. The 97's in back will work fine as well.
The 01's will go thru rotors faster but still should last you 2 years with how much you drive and the multiple cars.
We can discuss more later.

You will be happy with the 01s. The 18mm thickness is the correct one for your application.

I ran 01's front 97's rear for sometime. Does your car have abs? If it's the '86 in your sig then no. In which case I found when switching from an '89 with, to an '86 without, that it is possible to induce lockup with the PFCs and the stock brake system. That's with BRs up front , Mo30 rears. While I love PFCs for their bite, if I had kept my car as it was I would have considered using a less aggressive pad. I've kept them in for now but that is with Tilton setup and no brake booster therefore I am hoping not to have lockup issues or at least be able to tune them out. You will just have to try them and see. My advice would be not to use a brand new set of tyres when you make the switch to the PFCs though. The first few times you try them I think you will be quite surprised by how quick they bite.
