Default Good place to buy Michelin Slicks

Well, I've really been contemplating trying a set. Car is a 6GT3 so Porsche Cup tires won't work due to 680 rear ratio, so it looks like I'll have to try a new set. Rumor has it these are 3 seconds faster than Hoosier slicks.

So, where is a good place to get these?

Well what are we talking about here? OP said slicks (R80/R100) Hoosier Slicks are 2-3 seconds faster than R6's, you are then talking another 2-3 seconds over the Hoosier Slicks which would be 5-6 seconds faster than R6's and mean that the Hoosier Slicks are no faster than the R6's.

I've seen guys that can turn consistent laps run almost exactly three seconds faster on R80/R100 combo than they did on R6 (on the same car on the same weekend).

The N1 Porsche cup tires are the "good" ones but they only come in 24/64, 27/68, 25/64, and 30/68 sizes. The hoosier slick is just as fast as the "normal" non N1 Michelin. The only issue with the hoosier is durability on the rear of a 911 if pushed very hard.

Are those 30/68 available now? Would like to try them if they'll work on 13" wide rims.

Correct, the R80/R100 slicks are very fast, especially on lower speed courses. My rears lasted quite well with 115 degree air temp on the track at NJMP with a very abrasive surface.

FYI, if anyone's interested, I have a set of new Michelin N1 fronts and Blue rears in 24/64 and 28/68 respectively..... new last summer and stored indoors. Not going to use 'em this summer

Would love to, but that 680 tire won't work on the rear. Basically throws ABS in a 996GT3 in to a havoc.

You have me confused with the others in GTS-4. I am not participating in the arms race.

Sorry I will miss you guys this coming weekend, but looking forward to the next 2 weekends at HPR. Good luck and be safe!

I did - they have Pirelli, Yokohama, Hoosier - no Michelins.
