Who says they don't race at Monticello?
I was fantastically fortunate to be invited to race at MMC on Saturday, in a round of their members' Citation Air Series. Great racing, in true "Run Watcha Brung" style; well organized, low pressure, and such a pleasure at such a comfortable venue. Air conditioned club house behind pit lane, plasma screens showing lap times and photos all day, cute girls handing out water bottles up and down the pit, and the lunch spread was unbelievable. My son said it was the best cheesebuger he'd had in his whole life, even the chicken was delicious (he hates chicken!). Of course, I had the salmon.....
These guys run a great club, many thanks to Ari Strauss and the whole MMC staff for being so accomodating and friendly.
Not a bad race, too:

They also ran a ruling that was pretty novel. It was made clear to us that if you are involved in an incident that causes damage, and it's your fault, you have to pay for the other guy's damage, up to $25K!
Running a video camera was highly recommended. Now that's an interesting alternative to a 13/13.
