Talking to a guy about Hoosiers for my 8x18 and 10x18 rims. He says; " Most people run 245/35-18 with 295/30-18."
That seems awfully wide for a NB 993. Will I get rubbing issues? I'm just above RS ride height.

Of course the higher the ride height the more tire width can be accommodated.
Just my personal observation, 993s tend to have a lot of push and need more front grip, not more rear grip.

Listen to Bill; like most things 993, he is right.
I have a similar car though perhaps a bit lower, and my Hoosiers are 245/35 and 285/30x18. Both are very tight (especially front) despite fender rolling, but workable on the track. Watch out for rubbing on lines in the rear wheel area.
Front wheels are either 8.0 or 8.5 (last purchase from CCW recommended 8.5 so we went with that, which works fine; of course, since the tires are the same size, they should).
Hope this helps.
