Especially fun at a steeply banked track like Daytona. It always impresses me how hard it is to walk or crawl up to the wall....

Thanks again Dave for all the help and advice. It was a ton of fun and I hope to do it again. I'll shoot you the Traqmate data this weekend.

Riding up the entry to Moss Corner at Mosport makes you realize just how steep that is as well. Standing on the pedals....makes you realize how much later you could actually brake....

CVR just did one at Watkins Glen and more than 40 drivers attended. I lead the walk and I learn something new each time.

Yep, I had a Green student. You & your client probably passed me on the track at sometime. I was looking forward to grabbing a beer with you and watch some of the Ferraris race on the 4th, but for the rain. Rained it's *** off while I was unloading yesterday.

Absolutely!

Haha! Well...being lazy, i really didn't want to carry a bunch of beers for a 3.27 mile walk....so only one: the one I drank before setting off!

Frank, that's because you weren't wearing anything.
My sediments on the track crown and surface as well. Potomac does a tow vehicle based track walk. Hop in/on and drive to the corners of interest. Funny how some corners and elevation changes that feel sharp in the car are not and some that don't feel abrupt are. End of the back straight into the roller coaster is one interesting area.

Yeah, we have done that sort of thing with tow vehicles many times at TWS and MSR, and I have also tried to walk or bike other tracks when opportunity arises.
