Default Problem with loosened Schrader valve in remote shock

Finally getting ready for my first track day of the season (post transmission rebuild) and was checking canister pressure in my Motons. It reminds me that I am having trouble with unscrewing the the chuck from the canister's valve.
The story is that the left rear canister valve loosens when I am unscrewing the chuck. At first I thought I was tightening the chuck down too snugly, but it needs to be this snug in order to avoid leakage.
Unfortunately, if it is tight enough to avoid leakage, its too tight to unscrew without the Schrader valve unscrewing with it.
This doesn't happen with the other 3 canisters, and so i am wondering why.
* its not that the Schrader it too loose; I have it snugged down
* could it be that the threads on the valve stem are rough and grabbing the chuck as I back it off? Could be, as the screw on/off effort is higher than on the other canisters?
Or, could it be something else?
I'd like to fix this, as it is proving to be a major inconvenience.
Thoughts? Thanks

Rick, is the core loosening or is it the body that holds the core and threads into the top of the reservoir?

This is a huge advantage Ohlins have - no schrader valve Have had a car run 3 seasons without 1psi loss. I wonder if you can modify an Ohlins reservoir to fit?

Hi Larry
I believe it is called the core; it is what screws into the remote reservoir, is threaded on both ends, and has the pin on each end that is depressed to allow gasses in or out.
Normally its not removed but mine is backing out when I unscrew the Longacre gauge/filler chuck.
I hope this helps, and look forward to your insight.

Rick, it sounds like it is the body that is unscrewing from the reservoir. I have a picture of something similar here:

The tip of the Schrader valve core can be seen at the very top.

I would recommend bleeding out the pressure, removing and cleaning the threads and re-installing the body with a thick thread locking compound (red or blue). If you are careful, you can just leave the core in there.

Bingo - it's the brass-looking tube (though mine is silver) in your pic on the left.
I like your idea and will give it a try.
Thanks for the help; haven't seen you for awhile (of course, i haven't been at the track since last October). How's your Data business

JR, I think that Rick was referring to lock-tighting the fitting into the housing. There should not be any reason to ever have to remove it in the field.

Yes, I was referring to Larry's suggestion that we remove the fitting ('core'), clean the threads, and reinstall with appropriate locktite.
