Touching on a recent topic in the interest of generating an even more competitive grid for the PCA Zone 2 Club Race on 24-26 June. Much has been discussed about the brutally hot weather at VIR for the past two races. However, the race weeked is at the 10-day forecase window for Weather.com and they report "PARTLY SUNNY and 88 degrees" on FRI for the practice sessions.
Lots of factors go into which events to fit into your plans but this year the weather should not be keeping you away from VIR. VIR rated one of the top six road courses in America by Car & Driver - and the obvious choice in the mid-atlantic region.
Not too late to register and hope to see you at the track!

The weather last year was RECORD high. Meaning it's not happened since they have been keeping stats.
So, the chances of that kind of heat are minimal. Look at the NE weather right now.
59 low/75 high...............I'd much rather risk it being hot this time of year than the spring(March-May) when it tends to be cold/hot/frequent rain. Only risk is a little sunburn! Looking forward to next weekend!

I am told by our registrar that we have five new registrants in the last two days. If anyone is on the fence, we would really appreciate your support! Thank you.

Seriously, if you could run one class for SpecMiata (no points toward their championship) and apply the PCA strict NO contact rules, I think you could get a good field of cars. I know it's too late for this event, but there are a lot of SMers out there that would love to enjoy some contact/damage free racing.

Hi Guys
I'll be at the VIR race working as crew. I would like to offer technical assistance to anyone with questions about AIM dash/data or Smarty Cams. I'll be in one of the garages with Wayne Gerhart, red/orange 964 number 230. If there is enough interest we could do a group session Friday early evening, possibly in the meeting room.
