This should be good. I believe it was 2003 when Montoya (BMWSAUBER) and Jeff Gordon switched cars at the Indy F1 road course. Each got to within 1 sec of each other's times in the other's car which I found amazing.

It was the funniest thing you ever saw, though. Montoya couldn't get the 3600 pound NASCAR stocker to stop for Turn 1 at Indy and Jeff Gordons neck was almost snapped off under braking in the F1 car.

Maybe McLaren will bring a Nigel Mansel version of the MP4-23.

I'll be working remotely from the grandstands so I can stay the extra day and see it in person.

I would love to see Lewis run that car. Any guesses as to how quickly he can get around? Maybe low 1:20s? That would be sick.

I think the Indycars did in the 1:28 range, so maybe 5 seconds faster for a top-tier F1 car? 1:22-1:23? Insane fast, but probably about right

I'm assuming they're running the short course so the NASCAR doesnt catch fire under braking?

That would blow. They should run those pigs on the full course. They can make it.

It's my understanding that they are running the full course, as Tony mentioned it should be interesting because he's never run the full course before.
