That wasn't a race...it was an exhibition...no one had equipment that even came close. Beautiful car though.

Congratulations to GMG!! And, thanks for sharing the very cool photos. Judging by all of the video cameras on the roof of the car, GMG also shot some really cool video. If anyone becomes aware of any of that video being shared somewhere on the internet, please reply to this post to let us know!!

Thanks to all those who came out and supported the event. It was great to see you all.

As in any type of racing, there is never a guarantee of winning regardless of how prepared you may think you are.

We lead the race last year with a good margin and a tire failure @ over 140 quickly side lined last years charge.

The team did an excellent job and the pit stops were spot on every time.

Darren and James did a great job all weekend long and during the race they never put a tire wrong during the 4 hour event..

Half way point in the the race saw a lead change and GMG running as low as 3rd, but the team did what needed to be done and with approx 1 hour to go the lead was once again regained.

When the checkered flag was dropped the margin of victory was just under 3 laps.

Team results:
Overall winner
Fastest race lap
P1 in qualifying

I will post some additional pictures from the weekend as well as video once its downloaded in the next few days.

Congratulation to GMG, that car is so awesome to hear going around the oval!
Tribute this year was very clean. no major mishaps for any teams and a fun time for all.

Yeah, nobody had anything for that car or drivers this year. Great job guys. It was pretty fun getting passed by that thing (too many times...), and it just sounds amazing!

I heard the rev limiter going into Turn 1 and 2 almost every lap. Was the car just running out of gears?

Had a chance to walk through the pits on Saturday and took a few pics of the GMG cars with my iPhone. The GT2RS is simply stunning in person!!!! Can't say enough about it .... hope they don't mind me using it as my avatar.....

You can see my lowly 2010 Cup in the background of pic 1... always in the shadow of the RSR... haha.

That RSR gives me wood.

It also apparently has this effect on James, based on that picture.
