Watkins Glen Red Sprint #1 Video - (and apologies again!)
The rain produced some interesting qualifying results for the first sprint race. I qualified 33rd overall.

The second sprint race did not go so well. (Trying to cheer myself up by posting lighthearted videos I suppose.) I started beside Peter C and made a pas for 1st in class going into T1. Peter passed me back soo thereafter. Then... I made a completely boneheaded move... locked up going into T8 and took us both out of what surely would have been a 1-2 class finish.
So.... once again a big apology to Peter for an uncharacteristic sloppy move. In my years of club racing this is the first major contact with a car where I was at fault. We will both be out there again soon.... and hopefully I'll keep my head on straight next time.
Also - most importantly - prayers for the injured driver.

Nice! Not a lot of races like the first one you had.... Reminds me of the Leh Keen video.
As I posted in the other thread, yeah, the hit was unfortunate but you're a stand-up guy and handled it as well as I could have expected. I just hope humty dumpty is back together again in time for next IMSA race. I really enjoy our races and look forward to the next time.
By the way, noticed in your video you run an auto-blipper. What do you think of it?

I can see my car there! The 944 at 4:08, the 13th car you passed! It was driven by my friend Chris who had qualified 8th or 9th. Obviously, it was lacking power in the dry...

Cool seeing the ghost blipping the throttle, I have never seen it in action like that. I love mine, I let it blip for me at the LRP club race as there's only one place where we downshift (T1 - two gears). Works fine and I think it will save equipment. Even worked fine when I accidentally downshifted with no clutch once.
