2011 1/2 ton truck
I am looking for a 1/2 ton truck for towing (~4K lbs) and some DD (on wkends). Want to choose between GM/Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Toyota.
Lots of passionate discussion on here and good opinions/experience. Do any of the above jump out as an obvious choice? (I am leaning towards GMC at the moment - the rebates in Canada right now are pretty good)

For my last four, I've gone where the best rebates (deals) are. My last 1/2 ton was a Z-71 Silverado LTZ and I was pleased with it - with the execption of the tall rear end (3.08). Don't get suckered into it if your pulling something.

Current F150 is stellar.

Yes the 2011 F150 seems to be the current best truck. Their new engines make all the difference. Alot of these trucks are good from the various mfg, but it seems that the best is the newest body/engine combo. I think the Dodge was new in 2010 and chevy in 2009 and Toyota in 2007-2008.

I just bought a 2011 F150 with the Ecoboost V6TT. So far very pleased but not the fuel economy I was expecting but seems like plenty of power. Haven't towed the race car with it yet...
