Dave and Ellen Ferguson at Veracity Racing Data sometimes have used ones available. You could try them ... (www.veracitydata.com)

I use the Motec GPS Antenna (mounted in/on the car) and it works wonderful. Additionally you don't have to remember to put in out on the wall and more importantly you don't have to remember to retrieve it after the race.

Can it integrate with an old ECU - I don't think so.
I also have the GPS and think it's much better than the beacon it replaced ... but not all organizations allow use of the GPS. For example, in the Pirelli Cup series, only a beacon may be used. The GPS is not allowed. And if the OP has a cup car like in his avatar, that my well be why he wants a beacon.

Regarding the question of will it integrate with an older ECU? I don't know. Sorry.
Tom, why would the racing body not allow a GPS transponder vs. a traditional transponder. I wouldn't think timing and scoring would be using any of the info generated from either methods. They would be using the scoring loops in the track surface. I use the GPS for my own data and to set S/F which is then used for predictive lap times (all of which are not official). Why would they ban them?

I can't answer why. I simply know it's the rule. I asked the same question as it certainly seems an obtuse rule, but rules are rules and the rationale is not always obvious or explained.
